Full Coverage Hijab Styling Guide

Over the Chest

  1. Ensure your bandana is securely in place
  2. Drape the hijab across your head and divide the length on each side with a ratio of 80:20 - make sure your bandana is showing at the front to achieve more coverage
  3. Frame the hijab around your face
  4. Secure the hijab under your chin using a magnet
  5. Wrap the longer side around your head
  6. Pin at the side of the head using a straight pin
  7. Pull the hijab over your chest until you achieve your desired coverage
  8. Bring the remaining fabric that is draping behind your shoulders to the front for added coverage

    Side Drape

    1. Drape the hijab across your head and divide the length on each side with a ratio of 80:20
    2. Frame the hijab around your face
    3. Pin the end of the shorter side to the back of your undercap
    4. Take the inner part of the longer side and wrap around your head
    5. Pin at the side of your head using a straight pin
    6. Pull the hijab over the chest until you achieve your desired coverage
    7. PRO TIP - Pin the top of your head too, to keep the hijab in place in windy conditions

    Over the Shoulders


    1. Drape the hijab across your head and divide the length on each side with a ratio of 50:50
    2. Frame the hijab around your face
    3. Secure the hijab under your chin using a magnet
    4. Drape the left side of the hijab over the right shoulder - make sure that majority of the fabric is draped across your chest and not pulled all the way behind your shoulder
    5. Pin the hijab to the shoulders using a straight pin
    6. Drape the right side of the hijab over the left shoulder
    7. Pin the hijab to the shoulders using a straight pin
    8. Adjust the fabric around your chest until you achieve your desired coverage
