Sandal Midi is an elegantly constructed piece featuring in our 'Illuminators' collection. Illumination is known as an embellishment or to 'light up' and decorate as an art form, inspired by the master Illuminator known as 'Sandal' who worked alongside famous calligraphers to complete beautiful works, the most famous piece surviving known as 'Sultan Baybars' Quran', featuring geometric patterns with ornamental script.

The Midi features detailed and intricate embroidery on the front bodice and cuffs, embroidered onto silk organza and then carefully stitched onto the garment. The organza enhances the embroidery giving a subtle glow. We have carefully selected fabrics and thread to ensure we capture the essence of the amazing artists we have been inspired by.
